Warby Parker University Village officially opens on Saturday, August 20, complete with an exclusive U Village frame, interior and exterior wall murals by the awesome Geoff McFetridge, special Snapchat geo-filters and super cool treats (popsicles!) for the grand opening.
This is WP’s second store in Seattle (the other one is in Fremont and is designed around the concept of “writer’s block” with typewriters, stacked books and even a literal concrete block, inscribed with customers’ five-word memoirs); this new spot uses the brand’s classic library aesthetic (reference desk for checkout, clean, open space with neatly shelved books). The back wall showcases a mural in WP blue by McFetridge, and there is a keepsake lens cloth to match, available for a limited time with every purchase.
To celebrate the new store, WP is re-releasing Ketchum in Crystal with blue mirrored lenses, exclusively and only at the University Village location. And if that doesn't grab you, try on the Field Series, another standout for the brand's Summer 2016 collection.
The store is open for business starting Saturday at 2619 NE University Village Street.
