Filson—Seattle outfitters and manufacturers since 1897—have opened a flagship store in the city where it all began. Established 118 years ago for prospectors headed to the Yukon, the company aims to dress anyone with a passion for the outdoors in long-lasting, stylish gear.
The new 6,000-square-foot store will reflect the company's Pacific Northwest roots with an 18-foot-tall totem, an upcycled lumber trellis, and (most importantly) the company's largest selection of retail items in any one location.
Expect wool sweaters, classic flannels, and anything else required for a winter exploration. The flagship is located in the same building as the factory so customers can view firsthand how and where their products are made.
Stop by the new location on 1741 First Avenue South in SoDo.
