WHERE: Butch Blum (1332 Sixth Ave Seattle)
WHAT: In a rapid globalization, wide-reaching fast fashion companies creating inexpensive clothing like H&M and Zara seem to keep growing. Feature film The True Cost starkly exposes the fast fashion industry through exploited workers abroad. The film's message of fashion's lesser-known contribution to human and environmental rights violations will be screening downtown at European designer store Butch Blum. Partnering with SIFF and Women of Cinema, the evening begins with cocktails from Glass Distillery, opening remarks from Goodfunds Wealth Management and a Butch Blum gift certificate auction benefitting SIFF.
WHEN: The event begins on September 21 at 4:30pm. The film will be screened at 5:10pm. RSVP by September 18 at [email protected] or 206-622-5760.
