WHERE: Magnuson Park Hangar

WHAT: Forget walking from booth to booth collecting handfuls of flyers and plastic cups of cake samples, the city's newest wedding show is changing the game. Union, the brainchild of Lisa Chambers of Chambers and Company and Travis McBurney of True Colors Events, brings together top-tier wedding talent—truly, the selection process is intense—for an evening that feels more like a party than a convention.

This year's theme is "elevate," which organizers are taking figuratively (as in, to step up style and inspiration around weddings) and literally (as in, elements will be suspended from ceilings and the whole vibe is as if you're taking a flight somewhere super cool). There will be bar stations and bites from select catering companies, a chic fashion show via the Nordstrom Wedding Suite, and informative sessions on pulling off your best big day.

For planning purposes, you'll find many of our favorite local experts in lighting, hair and makeup, music, flowers, photography, venues, and more more more. And (shameless plug) you'll also be able to pick up the latest issue of Seattle Met Bride and Groom at the event.

WHEN: Take flight on October 1 from 6 to 9. Tickets—they're calling them passports—are $50 per person and available now.
A note on dress code. We've said it before, but it especially applies here: Your wedding is one day, but why not make every part of planning and executing it as elegant as the event itself? Pull out that cocktail dress and heels. Gents, grab a tie! We'll see you there (with bells on).
