The mass migration into Seattle's oldest new neighborhood continues. Velouria, Ballard's independent-designer boutique makes the southern trek this fall, setting up in Pioneer Square's Stadium Place alongside the much-anticipated second location of specialty-foods mercantile Cone and Steiner.

"In the early spring, we started talking with some friends who are opening a men's shop and our conversations with them about our retail experiences got us dreaming of different spaces and possibilities," co-owner Cat Wilcox told us. "When the (completely unrelated to that and not sought-out) chance to move to Stadium Place popped up, it seemed like the right move for Velouria and we couldn't say no. We are thrilled that we will be more centrally located and hope that it allows us increased opportunities to introduce the work of our incredible designers to more people."

Expect to see Wilcox and her counterpart Chika Eustace in Pioneer Square in late August or early September. Until then, shop Velouria's 10-year anniversary sale with 20 percent off all clothing in-store and online. Here's to another 10.
