Introducing Jaleh Clothing

Get to know local womenswear brand Jaleh and its casual chic, made-in-the-USA aesthetic.

By Amanda Zurita June 14, 2013

Designer Jordanah Monjazeb of local clothing line Jaleh wants you to know two things about her burgeoning apparel business:

1. It's pronounced zsa-leh. Not jay-luh, not jah-lay. It's more elegant. And it happens to be Monjazeb's middle name.

2. She is extremely committed to creating affordable, high-quality garments that are 100 percent made in the USA. Every part of the process, from sourcing fabrics to production to attaching hanger tags, is handled in house.

The contemporary womenswear brand officially launched in January of 2012, with its first collection ready for spring/summer of this year. Monjazeb—who started her career in TV production and later moved to marketing—had found that her retail ideals were shifting to focus on domestically made products, but her pocket book was unfortunately the same size.

"Finding items that were versatile, fashion forward, unique, manufactured in the US, and within my budget, proved to be a challenge," she told us.

Monjazeb launched Jaleh to fill that gap. Its freshman lineup features over 10 feminine day-to-night pieces that are on-trend, but classic enough to become wardrobe staples.

See the rest of the collection and shop the looks online (prices range from $48 for a pair of leggings to $224 for a blazer). Jaleh is not currently available around town, but stay tuned for a summer pop-up debuting the brand's fall/winter wears.
