A native of Manchuria and a veteran of the pearl and jewelry industry in Beijing, Zhang is a self-taught pearl designer and assembler with a deep knowledge of cultivation, worth, and cultural history. Ask her about ancient traditions, current trends, Queen Elizabeth, Madonna, and the wide variety of colors and shapes—and try a few on for size, too.
