Zara Coming to Westlake Center

Start freaking out now. The Spanish fast-fashion brand is coming to Seattle—but we'll have to wait a while.

Mark your calendars: Spain's fast-fashion retailer Zara is coming to Westlake Center.

Rumors have been floating around about a Seattle location since last September when the Puget Sound Business Journal reported a potential remodel plan for the downtown shopping center that would include a 31,000 square foot space for Zara—though neither the retailer nor the mall would comment at the time.

We reached out to the brand's corporate headquarters for word on the news and received this exciting reply:

"We inform you that Zara is planning to open a store in Westlake Center, Seattle. However, at this moment, we don’t have more details except the opening would be at the end of 2013 or beginning of 2014."

This is really, truly happening, even if we have to wait a year or so. Better than the never-to-materialize Uniqlo rumors, right?

We'll keep you updated as the details trickle in. For now, head to Zara's online store to shop the brand's deeply discounted fall and winter collections.
