WHERE: Showbox SoDo

WHAT: Each year in September, local style watchers gather for the Fashion First runway show in which local boutiques and designers parade their fall looks.

Organizer Joan Kelly has more energy, passion, and quip power than a triple-latte'ed Michael Kors on the Project Runway sidelines, and she works her tail off to put on a good show. So when we tell you that La Ree, the Finerie, Sway and Cake, Canopy Blue, and more are set to send out their best looks, know that Kelly is going to do right by them—and those of you in Standing Room Only.

This year's beneficiary is Rise n’ Shine, a non-profit serving children and teens affected by HIV/AIDS. Money raised at Fashion First helps fund the organization's summer camp, allowing kids to be kids if even for a brief period of time.

WHEN: Thursday, September 13 beginning with VIP entrance at 6:30. Tickets start at $50.
