Party with a Purpose

The Sunflower Children crew knows how to have a good-looking good time, for a really good reason.

Where: Voda Studio, at 1050 W Nickerson, Seattle, 98119

What: It’s an industry party that’s not really an industry party. It’s a fundraiser that asks you to do little more than have fun.

Sunflower Children’s yearly winter bash is all about putting together dollars that directly fund schools in Nepal and India — schools that exist solely because people in Seattle are delighted to attend fashion shows and other events that fuel such worthwhile work. Remember the yearly fashion show, FACE? Same people. Very same great people.

The industry part? Yes, well, Seattle’s fashion community is intricately tied to FACE and the Sunflower folks, so parties like this weekend’s ‘Mad Holiday’ bash are populated with people who are not all unfun to look at and/or party with, or at least near.

Music by DJ Nasir, hosted bar and appetizers; $65 tickets are available here. Remember, you’re not just drinking the night away, you’re building schools and buying books. Get your party suit ready.

When: This Saturday, December 4 from 8 to 1.
