Shop It: Urban Craft Uprising
Where: Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, on Mercer and Second on Lower Queen Anne.
What: The indie craft show has been going—and growing—since ’04, presenting locally made and designed, one-of-a-kind (and some-of-a-kind) work that winks cleverly in the face of all that mass-produced stuff.
Over 100 vendors are setting up shop with handcrafted, locally made cake-themed tchotchkes, paintings of Pedigree Pooches, flattering cold-weather hats and caps, winter accessories, and printed sweatshirts and notebooks.
Early birds, take note: It’s a UCU tradition to give out swag bags to the first 100 shoppers in line – inside are free goodies from the show’s vendors. And on both days there are hourly drawings for gift baskets and free demos, talks, and author signings for do-it-yourselfers.

When: Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5 from 11 to 5.
