Trunk Show: Tres Outlaws Boot Co.

Tres Outlaws Boot Co. designer Scott Emerich will be kicking up dust at J. Gilbert Footwear this week.
Brought on by the return of the pointy-toed heel (see It-designer Isabel Murant’s, the ongoing obsession with the 50s, Prada, Marc J collections I and II, and the hipster-led return of 90s-era winklepickers and cowboy clogs), sharp-fronted feet have been catching my eye lately. And on a cool day in July I started daydreaming about fall, and cowboy boots. If you’ve been thinking about pulling yours out of the closet again, or maybe even investing in a new pair, allow me to direct you to J. Gilbert Footwear where a trunk show featuring Tres Outlaws Boot Company’s co-founder and lead designer Scott Emmerich ought to kick the inclination into full-on desire.
Though not necessarily a heritage brand like Lucchese or Tony Lama, Tres Outlaws’ handmade ethos and sometimes over-the-top styling has nonetheless caught the eye of style watchers and luxury brand experts.
Emmerich will be at J. Gilbert on Sept 10 and 11 talking about pointed-toes and gorgeous leathers, and guiding customers in designing their own one-of-a-kind artisan-crafted boot. Call 206-441-1182 to make an appointment.
