Pick the Perfect Oregon Autumn Adventure

This fall, plan a trip to pick your own vegetables, meet adorable animals, and experience the vibrant Oregon agriculture scene in Mt. Hood Territory, part of beautiful Willamette Valley.

Presented by 2024 Fall Best Escapes Special Section August 22, 2024

Fir Point Farms Harvest Festival

During the harvest season, you can pick the perfect pumpkin, enjoy festive activities, and meet over 80 friendly animals at Frog Pond Farm, including goats, tortoises, guinea pigs, and camels! Just a three-minute drive away, visit more curious critters and even feed ostriches at Triskelee Farm.

Connect with “Cowlebrities” at TMK Creamery and Distillery in Canby, the world’s only creamery and distillery upcycling whey leftover from the cheese-making process into Cowcohol, a sipping vodka. Nearby, Fir Point Farms’ tree-climbing goats will be happy to see you. Stay for lunch with fresh-baked ingredients from their on-farm bakery. Paint mini pumpkins, pick your own and ride a cow train during their annual harvest festival.

TMK Creamery and Distillery

Make time to indulge in the region’s bounty at The Kitchen at Middleground Farms. Their cooking classes explore fundamental kitchen and garden skills and the lost arts of handcrafting and preserving.

Plus, pick up a FREE Harvest Trail passport stamp card throughout October at participating farms in Mt. Hood Territory. Complete fun activities, such as a hayride, corn maze, or pumpkin patch visit to earn a limited-edition Harvest Trail scarf! As a bonus, for every stamp card redeemed, a local family in need will get a Thanksgiving meal through the Sandy Community Action Center, a local nonprofit from the Sandy, Oregon area.
