On Other Blogs Today: The 2016 Governor's Race, the 2013 Mayor's Race, and More

Our daily roundup.

OOBT

1. Despite protestations by Republican former state attorney general Rob McKenna that he has no plans to challenge Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee in 2016, the Everett Herald reports that McKenna's keeping his options open, as evidenced by his launch of a new website earlier this week.

Also potentially in the mix: Congressman Dave Reichert (R-8, WA), Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-3, WA), and state Sen. Steve Litzow (R-41, Mercer Island)—assuming McKenna doesn't run after all.

2. Yesterday afternoon, the Stranger's Slog had the scoop that state Sen. Ed Murray's (D-43) mayoral campaign moved into former mayoral candidate Tim Burgess's (always-something-forced-and-awkward about it) campaign headquarters on Capitol Hill, Murray's home turf.

3. The SunBreak has some issues with car2Go, the one-way car-sharing service, including "cars that won’t go, cars that won’t let you leave, and “free” driving credits that fail to appear."

And they note the maddening fact that the service's website routinely assumes users live in Austin, TX, no matter how many times they reset the location. We sympathize.
