Confirmation that the state legislature is, as people say, just like high school.

This just came to our attention: Somebody played a goofy April Fool's joke on commerce and labor committee chair Sen. Janea Holmquist Newbry (R-13, Moses Lake) on Monday.

Some fictitious people—namely Lou Kout, Justin Case, and Ben Dover—signed up to testify on a bill.

The bill allows Labor and Indsutries to issue electronic notices to banks in their efforts to help employees recover unpaid back wages.

The fake testifiers were all from the "AFD Coalition."
