Seattle Times Falls Off Top-25 List, According to Circulation Report

By Josh Feit November 1, 2012

We still have no idea what metrics the Seattle Times plans to present to political campaigns to prove that its ad for GOP candidate Rob McKenna was successful—but they're not likely to include the latest circulation numbers from the Audit Bureau of Circulations for the last six months ending Sept. 30.

The Times is no longer listed among the the Top 25 Newspapers in the country.

The numbers were released on Tuesday.

The Times is no longer listed among the the Top 25 Newspapers in the country as they were—No. 23—in March, after ABC's previous report.

In March, the Times had a circulation of 236,292—already a drop of 6.63 percent from the previous six months.

In ABC's latest report, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser is in the No. 25 spot with a circulation of 224,973.

That means the Times has dropped by at least 12,000 since March, or a five percent decline.

We have a message in to Seattle Times spokeswoman Jill Mackie.
