One Question for the Seattle Times' Jim Brunner

Jim Brunner, the Seattle Times reporter who's covering the governor's race and who was tasked with covering his newspaper's decision to contribute a $75,000 independent expenditure for Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob McKenna and another one for the gay marriage measure, did not join more than 100 of his colleagues in signing a letter protesting the decision.
Although he declined to talk to PubliCola on the record, saying he wasn't doing interviews, Brunner made his point on Twitter, noting curtly: "For the record - I didn't sign newsroom letter b/c I was writing/reporting story about it. Call me old-fashioned about journalism ethics."
Unlike, one might reasonably infer, his bosses.
