Afternoon Fizz: State Democrats Give Inslee Another $150,000

The Washington State Democratic Party has been pouring money into Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jay Inslee's campaign for a year now. It makes it look like he has a broader financial support base than he does, the Washington State Republican Party claims .
And the latest campaign finance reports show that on July 31, the Democrats dumped another $151,000 into Inslee's bank account in two separate in-kind contributions, bringing the party's total contributions so far to more than $1 million.
The Public Disclosure Commission currently reports that Inslee has raised $7 million total.
The state GOP hasn't given to McKenna yet, according to the most recent reports (he's raised $7.3 million), but they did make some last-minute contributions: nearly $9,000 to Brad Toft, who's running for the open state senate seat being vacated by Republican Cheryl Pflug in the 5th District against Democrat Mark Mullet; and $7,000 to Vancouver-area Republican state Sen. Don Benton (R-17), who's being challenged by state Rep. Tim Probst (D-17).
