We certainly don't need Erica "The C. is for Crank" Barnett to point out how annoying the first sentence of the Seattle Times profile
on former State Dept. of Revenue Director and Microsoft exec, 1st Congressional District candidate Suzan DelBene, is.
Nope. We'll leave it to former AP reporter Curt Woodward (now a reporter with Xconomy.com) to state the obvious:
Woodward tweeted today: "A profile of a woman, and literally the first thing you mention is her clothes? Ouch."
And 140 characters wasn't enough to calm Woodward's hectoring. He added: "Surely nobody would argue against being descriptive in general. Putting woman's outfit in the lede is straight outta the '60s."
