This sign---which reads, "Bring [Seattle Police Chief John] Diaz Down!"---is currently hanging from the seventh floor of City Hall. That's the floor that Mayor Mike McGinn occupies. Diaz's office is across the street.



McGinn and city council member Bruce Harrell held a press conference this morning to tout city efforts to deal with the recent wave of violence (nine homicides this year so far) in Seattle, particularly in the Rainier Valley.
