By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee November 14, 2011

Seattle police have increased patrols on Capitol Hill as they work to identify a man suspected of raping another man at knifepoint in a apartment on the north end of Broadway early this morning.

Police say the suspect—a Hispanic male, 30-40 years old with a medium build, short dark hair and beard, wearing a black jacket, a red T-shirt with a white logo, blue jeans and black gloves, according to a statement from the department—attacked the victim in his apartment near Broadway Ave. E. and E. Roy St.

The victim in the attack reported the incident from a hospital around 5:00 am.

Police say the victim and suspect did not know each other, and the department has increased patrols in the neighborhood.
