McKenna, Inslee Both at $2 Million

By Josh Feit October 8, 2011

Republican gubernatorial candidate Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna raised nearly $490,000 in September pushing his grand fundraising total to $2 million, according to a statement released by his campaign late Friday.

Earlier in the day Friday, McKenna's rival, Democratic US Rep. Jay Inslee, announced his gubernatorial campaign had raised $450,000 in September allowing him to maintain a slight lead over McKenna by bringing his total to $2.1 million. (Inslee was at $1.6 million after August's totals were tallied while McKenna had been at $1.52.)

Most of McKenna's reports were posted online on Friday, and we were able to do a quick look at his new donors which included Tea Party star Jon Bruning. (Bruning, Nebraska's AG, is running for US Senate with the blessing of the Tea Party Express.)

Inslee has not posted his donors yet.
