Inslee Gets Another $50,000 from Democratic Party

We're still combing US Rep. Jay Inslee's and State Attorney General Rob McKenna's September fundraising reports for noteworthy donors, but because the Republicans have been making noise about the $200,000 that Inslee got last July from the Washington State Central Democratic Committee, we'd thought we'd point out right off the bat that Inslee got another $50,000 from the CDC in September.
The GOP's gripe—which may be familiar to liberals who have complained about anonymous donations that come to Republicans through groups such as Karl Rove's Crossroads or the Koch Brothers' Americans for Prosperity—is that a bloc of Inslee's donors, contributors to the Democratic Party, are unnamed.
With another $50,000 from the Democrats in the mix, the unnamed donors make up 12.6 percent of Inslee's total haul to date.
As we reported on Friday, our first look at McKenna's latest contributors list revealed a big donation from Tea Party star, Nebraska AG and US Senate candidate Jon Bruning.
Both 2012 gubernatorial candidates have raised just more than $2 million, with Inslee slightly ahead of McKenna. Without the $50,000 Inslee would be just under $2 million and slightly behind his rival.
