It's hard to make jokes about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. But throw in West Seattle and anything's funny.

Comic genius over at Seattle Salmon. From their latest "West Seattle Petitions United Nations for Independence," featuring Greg Nickels in a keffiyeh, they report:

Early in 2011, extremists from Alki threatened to demolish the West Seattle Bridge to stop the construction of settlements by Normal Seattleites in search of affordable real estate. In response, Normal Seattle instituted a naval blockade of its western neighbor, heightening tensions throughout the Puget Sound.

In May, a flotilla of paddleboarders departed the Semi-Autonomous Enclave of Fremont on a mercy mission to deliver dank nugs to West Seattle. The flotilla was intercepted by Normal Seattle police boats and several of the paddleboarders had their mellows harshed they fell into the chilly waters.
