We're watching Q-13 a lot more now that former Seattle Channel news anchor C.R. Douglas is doing the political analysis spots.

Yesterday, Douglas talked with state Sen. Ed Murray (D-43, Seattle) about sponsoring gay marriage legislation.

Not only does Murray say, he's going to go for it, but he explains the political strategy behind passing gay marriage it in 2012. Next year is a presidential election year and when the inevitable signature gathering and referendum to repeal any gay marriage law hits the ballots in the fall, gay marriage advocates could be buoyed by a big Democratic turnout.
