Scientific American: Seattle Tops List of Tech Cites. Sorta.
Scientific American came out
with a list of top 10 tech cities last week. Three lists, actually—"Most Tech Friendly," "Best Internet Access," and "Overall Technology Performances." And Seattle tops each one.
However, local tech bible Geekwire calls b.s. on the list, pointing out that Scientific American's data isn't so scientific. Some of the data—such as Circuit City stores per capita—is four years old. Circuit City went bankrupt and shut down two years ago.
