Seattle Times: Kucinich Speaking at WA Labor Conference

By Josh Feit July 27, 2011

Seattle Times reporter Jim Brunner has the latest on US Rep. Dennis Kucinich's (D-OH) Washington State itinerary. Kucinich, who's seriously considering running for US Rep. Jay Inslee's open seat (as are a crew of other Democrats), is speaking at the Washington State Labor Council's annual convention next week.

Brunner reports:
Jeff Johnson, president of the labor council, said he invited Kucinich to speak at the convention after he shared a stage with him at a February rally in support of public workers in Wisconsin.

"He is one of the leading politicians in the country defending the rights of working people to collectively bargain," Johnson said.

PubliCola interviewed Kucinich last week.
