Pride Weekend is coming up, and Seattle's getting ready for the biggest Pride festival in the country.

But before the parading and partying, there's policy to discuss. Luckily, Town Hall is putting on a forum tonight to tackle the serious business facing the LGBT community, including the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," and how both gays and their straight allies can help.

On the bill tonight: Sarah Dunne (Legal Director of the ACLU of WA), gay state Rep. Jamie Pederson (D-43)—who took up some serious policy issues himself this year— and LaShawn Warren (American Constitution Society).

Judge Mary Yu of the King County Superior Court will moderate. Tickets are $5 and available here or at the door.

Seattle has set the standard for LGBT equality and outreach with the likes of Dan Savage and his "It Gets Better" project, but we still have a long way to go to make sure, it does, in fact, get better.

Seattle Town Hall, 7:30-9pm
