Is the Tunnel Referendum Legal?

On Friday morning at 10:30, King County Superior Court judge Laura Gene Middaugh will consider a lawsuit by city attorney Pete Holmes that would prevent a referendum on the deep-bore tunnel from going on the November ballot. Smith & Lowney PLLC attorney Knoll Lowney, who's representing the local Sierra Club in the case, argues that the referendum is legal; and Newman DuWors attorney Keith Scully, who isn't associated with either side of the case, argues that it isn't.
