Washington Ledge: Democratic Party Should Address Jacks' Resignation
Public Radio's Austin Jenkins has written an excellent post about last month's sudden resignation
of now-former state Rep. Jim Jacks, a Democrat from Vancouver.
Like Jenkins, PubliCola has pressed Democratic leadership for an account of why Jacks resigned. We have also attempted to interview Jacks.
In their brief statements, Democratic leadership has simply said Jacks' resigned for "personal" reasons.
We respect Jacks' privacy, but as Jenkins writes:
I agree with Jenkins that Democratic leadership needs to address the Jacks resignation. And so does the Washington State Wire, which has also posted about the lack of transparency in the Jacks matter.
