PubliCola Adds Life
Re: ThinkTank Tuesday
It looks like yesterday's ThinkTank was another hit.
If you've got ideas for a topic you'd like to see the PubliCola ThinkTank mull over, let us now. You can leave an idea here in the comments or send an email to [email protected].
In the meantime, yesterday's debate over education reform is still raging. Pramila Jayapal from OneAmerica weighed in with her thoughts last night.
I, for one, was particularly struck by Sandeep Kaushik's comments, where he used Enron's smoke-and-mirror finances as a point of comparison for some of the rhetoric we're hearing from ed reformers, before going on to highlight some damning reporting about ed reform superstar, Michelle Rhee.
I was also into Toby Crittenden's heartfelt comments which, much less academic than Kaushik's, referenced his own experience attending and working in Seattle's public schools.
And, of course, you guys in the bleacher seats are also bringing a lot to the debate. Which is why next week, we'll tap a lucky Cola reader to be part of our elite ThinkTank.
