Extra Fizz: Drinking Really Liberally

By Josh Feit January 6, 2011

The Vance Building at 1402 Third Ave. is an enclave for all the commie groups in town: Climate Solutions, Equal Rights Washington, Fuse, the Housing Development Consortium, Rock the Vote, Sightline, Sustainable Seattle, Washington Conservation Voters, Washingotn Low-Income Housing Alliance, the Budget & Policy Center, WashPIRG, and more. You get the picture.

And per the listing in PubliCalendar, the Vance holds an annual open house for people to cruise through building and chat politics—and today after work from 5:30 to 7:30 is the day.

And while hippies aren't supposed to go in for the competition thing, we're hearing that there's a little internal throwdown going on over who will be serving the best drinks. Democratic consultant WinWin and gay rights group Equal Rights Washington (yep, it's not just commies and hippies over at Vance, it's also the gays) are evidently offering a Key Lime Martini. And Fuse has a flaming blue shooter.
