Sociological Images: 2000 vs. 2010

Things have changed a lot since 2000: The world's population has become more urban (and dense), the number of people with Internet access has sextupled, China's power consumption has nearly quadrupled while the US's has barely dipped, and the number of people killed by natural disasters has increased fifteenfold (!).
