This email from a reader came in yesterday:

I noticed that you recently reported on the move of Nickelsville to Lake City.  Also reported was some push back from the surrounding community.

I am writing to let you know that tomorrow morning, on Thanksgiving, bright and early, I and numerous kids, parents and parishioners from St. Catherine’s school and church in nearby Maple Leaf are going to brave the cold and deliver blanket, tarps, fleece coats and special breakfasts to our new neighbors in NE Seattle.

We will also visit and provide supplies to the tent city at St. Marks on Capital Hill. While they aren’t in our neighborhood now, they will be on Saturday so we want to make them feel welcome too.
