Efficient Government Means No Public Disclosure Today.

By Josh Feit August 6, 2010

Seeking efficiencies (or so goes the rhetoric), the state is saving $69 million through mandatory and voluntary furloughs, leave without pay, reduced work hours, and "other methods" like shutting down certain agencies altogether on certain days.

Today's savings brought to you by the Public Disclosure Commission.

Having the PDC closed in the runup to the election is pretty bad timing. (You can still use the web site, at least.) Maybe I'll take a furlough day today.
