Delegation Splits Along Party Lines on Financial Reform Vote

By Josh Feit July 1, 2010

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the big financial reform bill yesterday afternoon, the compromise version that the Senate will take up after the July 4 break.

Washington state's delegation split on party lines with all six Democrats voting 'yea' and all three Republicans, including U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert (D-WA, 8 ), voting 'nay.' (Reichert also voted 'nay' on the original version passed by the House early last month.)

Talking Points Memo has a good wrap up on yesterday's vote.
