1. Over at The Tacoma News Tribune
, Political Buzz has a roundup of who's running in what race against who—filing week starts today.

Thanks to Washington state's top two primary (no party primaries), candidates are free to say whatever they want about their party affiliation. TNT's Political Buzz writer Jordan Schrader has a funny wrap on some of the parties—like one candidate who is the only member of his "Prefers Lower Taxes" Party.

2. Lots of news over at the Olympian's politics blog: A Tea Party "grandma"
is taking on conservative Democratic state Sen. Tim Sheldon in the 35th Legislative District; Gov. Gregoire warned the feds that if $480 million in expected Medicaid money doesn't come through, she'll have to cut 6,000 state jobs; and more details on last-minute candidates, including two more Patty Murray opponents.

3. The Seattle Times Northwest Politics blog reported the details on the Washington Poll that we simply linked this morning, noting that Rossi leads Murray 42 to 39 among the voters they polled after Rossi announced.  (Overall, including those polled prior to Rossi's announcement, the poll has Murray ahead 42-40.)
