Murray Drops a Point, Rossi Stands Still. Candidates Now Tied in Latest Poll.

By Josh Feit June 25, 2010

The latest Rasmussen Reports poll has Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) and Republican challenger Dino Rossi tied at 47 percent. (A month ago, Murray led 48 to 47.) Murray beats Didier 48 to 40.

Two observations from Rasmussen:

1) Incumbents that fall short of 50% at this stage of a campaign are considered potentially vulnerable.

2) The Democrat’s support in these match-ups has changed little, but this is the best showing to date for both Didier and Akers.

The survey of 500 Likely Voters in Washington was conducted on June 22, 2010 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/-4.5 percentage points.

Here's the poll. Nerds have at it.
