1. As you know, here at PubliCola, we love the nerds. Well, score one for the nerds.

This goof  video—written, produced, and performed by the hot librarians and library science students at the U.W.—has gone viral. Sing to the tune of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face."
"Ca-ca-ca-catolog ca-ca-catalog!"

"This keyword search it gives you way too many hits/Boolean limits pare things down to just what fits/Use the the thesaurus to find subject terms that work/Then in just one minute you'll be through like Captain Kirk/

Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh, ohh-oh-e-ohh-oh-oh/I'll blow your mind, show you how to find//Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh, ohh-oh-e-ohh-oh-oh/I'll blow your mind, show you how to find/Can use my/can use my/yeah you can use my catalog"

2. All three of Washington state's GOP reps in Congress—Doc Hastings, Cathy McMorris-Rodgers, and Dave Reichert—are among the 30 co-sponsors on Rep. Walter Herger's (R-CA) bill, H.R. 524
, to repeal the health care reform legislation passed in March.

3.
Proponents of making initiative signatures public say the U.S. Supreme Court could rule as early as this week on the R-71 case.

Washington state Attorney Genera Rob McKenna and the gay rights group, Washington Families Standing Together, argued in the U.S. Supreme Court in late April that the names of the people who signed petitions to put R-71 (a 2009 initiative to repeal domestic partnership rights passed by the legislature) should be available to the public.

The anti-gay rights group, Protect Marriage Washington, argued that the names should be shielded from the public.

R-71 lost at the ballot in November 53 to 46.

4. Don't miss Erica's scoop on the latest eruption in the 34th Legislative District where PCOs who support legislative candidate Joe Fitzgibbon accused leadership telling them they weren't allowed to campaign for him because the district had officially endorsed his opponent Marcee Stone.
