Elderly State Sen. Rosa Franklin (D-29, Tacoma) announced last night at the 29th Legislative District Democrats meeting that she is retiring from the legislature. Franklin has been in the legislature since 1991.

Rep. Steve Conway (D-29) announced that he's thinking about running for Franklin's seat.
