island_of_lost_soulsReady for a sci-fi geekout?  After three weeks of It's a Wonderful Life, The Grand Illusion (cutest movie theater in Seattle) has moved on to classic sci-fi horror.

With Charles Laughton, Bela Lugosi and the Panther Woman, Island of Lost Souls is a thrilling evening not to be missed. This rare 1932 adaptation of H.G. Wells' The Island of Dr. Moreau will be shown on film, a 35mm archival print.

Check it out, but only if you've resolved to resist the lures of the panther woman in 2010.

Plays through January 7 at 7 and 9pm.
