Constantine vs. Phillips

By Josh Feit July 29, 2009

On Monday, we posted King County Executive candidate Larry Phillips' TV ad, an upbeat ad that hypes King County's reputation for cutting edge innovation—aerospace, software, biotech coffee, and  inaccurately, mass transit.

The ad hits a theme we've heard from others in the race, particularly state senator Fred Jarrett (D-41), about tapping into the talent and creativity of the region to change our moribund county government.

Candidate Dow Constantine (who made a similar pitch to me at his campaign kickoff in June) seems, in fact, pretty miffed at Phillips for using the rap. Yesterday he released this spot on YouTube:

It's funnier, however, if you watch the Phillips ad in its entirety first .
