So says Times Company spokesperson Jill Mackie in response to my questions about what current P-I subscribers should expect now that the P-I will cease printing tomorrow. In other words, Mackie is now confirming what I reported last week: P-I subscribers who may not want to take the Times will have to opt out of taking the Times. If they don't, their subscription will automatically be switched over to the Times. In her e-mail response, Mackie writes:
P-I subscribers will receive a Times on Wednesday. There will be more information available to subscribers online at http://seattletimescompany.com. While we know P-I readers love the P-I, now that it will no longer be available to them in print, we hope they will give The Seattle Times an opportunity to serve their news and information needs.
