Today in sandwich/burger news—two local spots with particularly devoted followings are plotting additional locations.

Li'l Woody's, the burger chainlet that combines grass-fed patties with a relentless energy for collaborations and creative specials (this month's fast food–inspired tributes were particularly great), will open a third location in—shocker—South Lake Union. Look for the new Li'l Woody's at Boren and Thomas, just off the Terry Ave restaurant row. Owner Marcus Lalario says the new spot will have an outdoor deck and a burger just for the SLU location.

Li'l Woody's no. 3 is slated to open in November; keep an eye on its social media for updates.

Meanwhile, on Pike/Pine...Paseo owner Ryan Santwire sent word Caribbean roasts and press sandwiches will soon be available at 925 E Pike, the space once home to Pike Street Fish Fry. After the nearly cinematic drama surrounding Paseo's death and rebirth in Fremont, Santwire opened a second, much larger Paseo in SoDo, complete with TVs, an event room, a patio, and seats aplenty, not to mention booze. But as Capitol Hill Seattle blog notes, this little berth of a space next to Neumo's doesn't lend itself to vast amounts of seating. The press release says that Paseo Pike/Pine will cater to the neighborhood's nightlife with "applicable late night hours and menu offerings." So...a Paseo version of drinking food? Intriguing.

Santwire hopes to get doors open by the end of October, but that's always a moving target. Stand by for more details.
