Mama's Cantina
The space formerly known as Mama's Mexican Kitchen in Belltown reopened this Wednesday under the new name Mama's Cantina. Under the new ownership of Marcus Charles (Local 360, The Crocodile, etc.), changes in the restaurant include moving the bar to the front and opening up previously closed off dining spaces and an updated menu of delicious Mexican food for the neighborhood.

Mura
Japanese and Korean comfort food made from recipes passed down from owner Ted Kim's grandmother, mother, and other acquaintances are now available at the recently opened family-owned restaurant, reports Magnolia Voice. The menu will feature familiar dishes such as bibimbap, donburi, scallion pancakes and gyoza, plus a beer and wine list.

Verjus
Brendan McGill's new juice bar and vegetarian restaurant on Bainbridge Island has just had its soft opening stage, with a grand opening set for May 20, reports Eater Seattle. Inspired by McGill's wife, this restaurant will be a departure from his usual meat-loving culinary creations, instead focusing on a rainbow of cold-pressed juices and milks, healthy plates and bowls, and a few desserts too.

The Butcher's Table
This summer at Denny Triangle, a new luxury steakhouse, bar, and butcher's shop all rolled into one will open courtesy of the people who brought us spots such as Beecher's Handmade Cheese, Pasta and Co., and more. Bringing some talented chefs and staff up from California, The Butcher's Table's menu will sport items such as their own Mishima Reserve Wagyu Beef.

Growler Guys
Taking over the spot occupied by Ying's Drive-In on Lake City Way, Growler Guys is set to open another destination on the craft beer-lover's map in Seattle, reports Seattle Beer News. The  space will tout some 60 taps of beer, a "pizza-driven" menu, a 360 degree patio, and of course, growler fills aplenty to take home. Kid-friendly, dog-friendly, and aiming at using its outdoor space for events and festivals, Growler Guys is aiming for a July opening.

Expansion Mode

Asadero Sinaloa
The Kent restaurant popular for its Northern Mexican-style mixed grill and steaks will be opening a second location in late June this year in Ballard, reports Eater Seattle. Expect Sonoran beef, fire roasted and stone ground salsas, and handmade flour tortillas when this spot opens in the space that formerly held Zayda Buddy's.

Tigerly Ox
The fast casual Vietnamese joint is expanding to its second location in the Central District, reports Eater Seattle. An upsize from their first Wallingford shop, this one will sport extra seating for 15-20 people, beer and wine, and the same menu of build-your-own healthy banh mi, vermicelli, and more.

Closing

Vivre Bistro
A tiny Post-It sits in the window of the now closed French bistro, closed since mid-April. It isn't all woe and despair though–Eric Stapelman still plans on making Vivre's services available for private parties and special events.

Shift Change

Murray Stenson
The iconic bartender has moved to Vittles in Belltown from his previous gig at Kaname Izakaya, reports Eater Seattle. Stenson still plans on working at Kaname in the future, but for now you can find him at this neighborhood bar and bistro during the week.
