Mean Sandwich
Alums from New York's esteemed Momofuku, who were also behind Jersey City's Thirty Acres, have moved to Seattle and are looking for a location for their next restaurant, Mean Sandwich, reports Eater Seattle. The couple hopes to open the sandwich shop by summer, hopefully in Ballard or Wallingford, with a laid-back atmosphere and dine-out and -in options. 

Stateside Mystery Bar
Whatever Eric Johnson and his team at Stateside have planned in the neighboring 750 square foot bar space is moving forward reports Capitol Hill Seattle. Stateside will remain its own entity, while the new concept will be something in its own right. 

Pecos Pit Bar-B-Que
SoDo's much-loved barbecue has signs up in West Seattle announcing the second pit will open soon. The restaurant is replacing Beni Hoshi Teriyaki on 35th and Fauntleroy reports West Seattle Blog

Hurry Curry of Tokyo
This past Monday steaming bowls of Japanese curry and Yoshoku dishes were served at the new South Lake Union location off Harrison Street reports Eater Seattle. Doors open at 11am for the lunch hour.

BOOZE

Cupcake Royale's Booze-Infused Cupcakes 
Washington distillers have partnered with the company to create four cupcakes laced with liquor. The "Smokie Oakie Old Fashioned" with 2Bar Spirits bourbon, "Royale B-52" with Seattle Distillery's Coffee Liquor, "Key Lime Mojito" steeped with 3 Howls rum, and "Pina Colada" featuring Blue Spirits Peirates Rhum will all be available throughout the month of February.

Bar Melusine 
Renee Erickson's Normandy-inspired bar has added Sunday hours from 5-10pm, with a happy hour squeezed in from 5-6pm.
