A new artisan pizzeria at the heart of Bellevue Square, serves pies like roasted mushroom with taleggio cheese and spicy sausage with spicy sausage with fennel seed as well as antipasti, salads, and paninis.
The last member of Renee Erickson's trifecta off East Union Street is now open serving sugar-dusted doughnuts piped with lemon curd, chocolate marshmallow, and peanut butter and grape jelly. Shining bright at the epicenter of the space is the magenta La Marzocco pouring espresso from four roasters, including San Francisco's De La Paz and Brooklyn based Toby's Estate. Start your day with a sugar rush and a caffeine buzz because doors open at 7am and stay open till 3pm.
Meat and Bread South Lake Union
Eater Seattle reports the second location of the Canadian sandwich shop is now open in the SLU neighborhood.
The storage closet turned bar on Western Avenue beneath Pike Place Market serves Spanish snacks like stuffed olives, full plates such as the salt-cured anchovies with radishes and butter, while a giant leg of jambo Iberico charms the end of the bar. Ciders, IPAs, wine, and a Spanish take on a gin and tonic adorn tables starting at 4pm for happy hour, through dinner, and then back to happy hour for a late night edition from 11pm- 2am.
Resonate Brewery and Pizzeria
In the Newport Hills Shopping Center, the brewery, which hasn't begun brewing in-house just yet, pours their own craft beer ranging from IPAs, stouts, and lagers amongst a rotating selection local and regional craft beers. The pizza is Roman-style with classic pies like pepperoni, plus more creative combos like the surf and turf and high voltage.
Right under the bright red public market sign is the barbecue pitstop serving up Pecos Pit Barbeque in sandwiches, bulk meats to go, and walkabout bowls. Chef Jeremey McLachan's sides are also on the menu to accompany the smoked meats between 11am and 5pm daily.
Métier: Racing and Coffee
Bicycle shop Herriott Sports Performance has moved, added a cafe, and will now be known as Métier: Racing and Coffee. The new establishment opens at 1017 E Union this Saturday the 14th. Capitol Hill Times reports the new venture will be a place for people to exercise, receive training and fitness testing, service bikes, and grab a bite to eat at the cafe lead by Eric Cockrell. The cafe will serve grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, and breakfast fare like Belgian waffles, while the drink selection includes coffee, cider, beer, and wine.
Around mid-December this Mediterranean restaurant will open in the former La Luna space in Queen Anne, reports Queen Anne View. Grappa with be served, as indicated by the restaurant's name, and the cuisine will be Italian and Greek, oriented around family meals.
Taphouse Grill Bellevue
After 13 years the Bellevue location shut its doors November 8 with many thanks from owner Paul Reder after the abrupt closure.

Paid Parental Leave at Poquitos and Rhein Haus
The owners behind the popular Capitol Hill Mexican restaurant and beer hall have announced paid parental leave for mothers and fathers in the case of birth or adoption. The policy is now in effect for full- and part-time employees as long as they have worked for the company at least 12 months.
