The owners of the wine bar Bottlehouse in Madrona, have opened the espresso bar, cafe, and happy hour/late evening that is Mr. West at 720 Olive Way. The menu is lively with a pickled platter of vegetables and fruits, sandwiches like the "working man's special" at breakfast (soft egg sandwich with 12 oz drip to go), and lunch options like salads, sandwiches, and savory yogurt. 

The Habit Burger Grill
The first Washington location opened Wednesday in Kent where burger lovers can get their hands on the award-winning Charburger. 

Pel Meni Dumpling Tzar
The Russian dumpling house now has a second location in the 12th Avenue Arts Building boasting a carefully curated cocktail list along with a full bar. Vodka and dumplings anyone? 

This past Saturday was the grand opening of the long awaited pub and bottle shop on Broadway, servicing all those with rare European beer requests.

The midwest pizzeria officially arrives Seattle via a new outpost on Broadway. It's open, says Capitol Hill Seattle blog, serving slices of simplicity—pepperoni or cheese—and speciality pies like smoked brisket. 


Jason Wilson at the W Bellevue
The James Beard-award winner has announced his new restaurant and bar at the W Bellevue as a part of the Lincoln Square expansion. His inspiration for the restaurant is a modern northwest farmhouse and the menu will rotate seasonally focusing on fresh fruits and vegetables. The bar will be a nice seclusion from the hub where drinkers can go imbibe a craft cocktail. 

A New Marination Location
The much-loved purveyors of kimchi quesadillas and aloha-y tacos and sliders is setting up shop in an Amazon building at Sixth and Virginia.

Black Bottle Owners on Capitol Hill
Capitol Hill Seattle also reports the crew behind Black Bottle, the gastro-tavern in Bell Town, acquired the space on 15th Avenue that used to be 22 Doors. Workers have been seen busy inside remodeling the space that has been vacant for nearly two years.

Bell and Whete's New Executive Chef
Jenny Izaguirre has joined the european kitchen and lounge to replace Steve Navarre, who will solely focus heading the kitchen at sibling Local 360. 


One of Capitol Hill's only steakhouses will close this Sunday after three years. Reason being, the restaurant's lease was coming to an end and partner Boyon Choi was ready to exit the biz, reports Capitol Hill Seattle.
