RN74 Welcomes Portland Chef Jenn Louis
Portland's Lincoln chef Jenn Louis is joining forces with chef David Varley for a six-course dinner at RN74 this Wednesday. The meal, which is part of the restaurant’s On the Line: Guest Chef Series, will feature dishes that celebrate local summer bounty. The $90-per-person dinner will kick off at 6:30pm and each guest will take home a signed copy of Jenn’s cookbook, Pasta by Hand. Reserve your spot by calling 206-962-0452.

Chef Jason Harris Hosts a Japanese Pop-up Dinner
Local chef and owner of the recently closed Bloom, Jason Harris, is hosting a Japanese popup dinner on Thursday at the Atrium Kitchen at Pike Place Market. The meal focuses on yakitori, the Japanese tradition of grilled chicken in which no part of the bird goes to waste. At the dinner, each and every part of the bird will be served through seven courses including bento box with grilled chicken heart, chicken tender sasami, and homemade toasted mochi with crispy chicken skin. Tickets are $40 and you can book a place through the Dyne app.

Bacon, Eggs, and Kegs at CenturyLink Field
A boozy brunch festival, aptly-named Bacon, Eggs, and Kegs, takes place at CenturyLink Field this Saturday from 11am. Over 60 national breweries and cideries will be in attendance including some local labels like Hilliard’s Beer, Big Al Brewing, and Machine House Brewery. The event includes $5 bacon style dishes from local chefs such as bacon fat biscuits, shellfish fried rice, and bacon burgers (from Josh Henderson's hotly anticipated burger joint, Great State Burger). General admission is $35 which includes 12 tasting tokens and a souvenier tasting cup.
Maritime Pacific Brewing Company Turns 25
The Ballard brewery is celebrating 25 years in business with a beer and barbecue party this Saturday. There will be 25 beers on tap and classic barbecue bites on offer such as hot dogs, beans, and barbecue pork. Proceeds from the food served on the day will benefit the Ballard Food Bank. The event also includes music, large inflatable toys, and a rock climbing wall. Admission is $25 and includes five tasting vouchers and one food voucher. Child passes are also available at $10 each.

Sip Wine and Stomp Grapes at Belltown Crush Block Party
After a successful inaugural event last year, the one-day wine festival returns this Sunday at the new Bell Street Park (between 2nd and 4th avenue). Festivities kick off at 1pm and includes a wine garden with 15 Cascade Valley Wine Country wineries. There will also be a pig roast from the team at Bell and Whete and grape stomping competitions. Admission to the wine garden is $25 and includes 10 tasting vouchers but there is a free family-friendly area featuring local food trucks and street food vendors. Proceeds from the event will go toward Plymouth Housing Group.
South Sound Craft Beer Festival Returns For a Second Year
The second annual South Sound Craft Beer Festival takes place on Saturday August 29 with more than 30 Washington breweries in attendance. The one-day event, which takes place at Tacoma Dome, features names such as Ghostfish Brewing, Pike Brewing, and Elysian Brewing. Advance tickets are $20 and includes a commemorative glass and six tasting tokens.
