Bon Vivant School of Cooking
The View Ridge school for ambitious home cooks is rife with dad-approved cooking classes. Take for example the particularly father-inspired class Let's Grill It! on July 29, where students learn finer points of both charcoal and gas grilling, plus techniques for vegetables, seafood, and white and red meat.  
Price Tag: Classes are small and hands on, usually $75 or $80 

I Love Thai Cooking
If dad likes Asian food (and to eat a lot), this International District class is for him. Although most of the classes focus on Thai food, other classes are available too. Including an Asian Market Tour and Easy Vietnamese Cuisine Dinner on July 11, where attendants shop on site at Viet Wah supermarket, then use the materials to prepare and eat their fill of pho bo (beef pho) and five other classic Vietnamese dishes.
Price Tag: Classes are small to medium in size and are usually $150, which includes a multicourse sit-down meal.

Sur la Table
The kitchen store offers a dizzying array of classes at its Kirkland location. It even offers a father-and-child cooking class entitled Cooking with Dad on June 21 that allows budding chef offspring to learn how to make their favorites alongside dad.
Price Tag: Classes are hands on and medium sized, ranging from $45 to $79

Hot Stove Society
Tom Douglas's year-round cooking school welcomes big eaters. If padre is one but doesn't feel confident in the kitchen, there are both classes and demonstrations available to put him at ease. One particularly macho sounding demonstration, the Fried Chicken Smackdown on July 17, allows attendees to eat fried chicken three different ways while watching the chefs outline and prepare the meal in Belltown's Hotel Ändra.
Price Tag: Sessions can be medium sized and observatory, they range from $35 to $90 

PCC Natural Markets 
This local chain of organic co-ops is food-allergy sensitive and its various locations offer near-daily cooking classes, many of which focus on the importance of healthy cooking. One spicy class, Quick Tamales and Salsas, teaches attendees how to stuff their own vegetarian tamales and whip up salsas. 
Price Tag: Classes tend to range from medium to large and are $40 to $55

This South Lake Union cooking class company focuses on foreign and not-so-ordinary menus. One of their unique classes, Cocktails 3: Get Infused on July 15, teaches students how to mix signature Seattle drinks, such as the Waverly Place Echo, while also teaching the art of pairing food with alcohol.
Price Tag: Classes are hands on and are usually $70 to $75 

Diane's Market Kitchen
Diane LaVonne spearheads all classes and demonstrations with a Seattle-infused and down-to-earth approach to cooking. In one demonstration, Cooking and Eating Local on June 21, attendees peruse Pike Place Market to buy food for the meal that LaVonne prepares in front of them, thus learning the importance of eating fresh and local. 
Price Tag: Sessions can be hands on or observatory, classes are around $50 and demonstrations are around $135
